Audition Step 1

                        DEADLINE: February 1, 2019

1. Please provide the following:
       Completed application form
       Audition repertoire
       Your bio
       Printed programs of two full-length concert performances within the last three years.
       Two letters of recommendation from professional musicians,
          one of whom is your current or former teacher, addressing your
          musical attributes and performance abilities.
       A non-refundable audition fee of $35


APPLICATION FORM

AUDITION REPERTOIRE
On a separate sheet list your name, the title, and the duration of each piece and its track number.

BIO
Your bio should highlight your education, major accomplishments, performances, and reviews.

PROGRAMS
Include programs of two full-length concert performances that have been completed within the last three years. Please scan as PDFs and email. 

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Include two letters from professional musicians, one of whom is your current or former teacher, addressing your musical attributes and performance abilities. Recommendations need not be private, but it is preferable.

All recommendations must be received or postmarked by February 1, 2019

AUDITION FEE
Please mail your non-refundable check made out to Artist Presentation Society for $35.00 to

It must be postmarked by midnight, February 1, 2019

2. SUBMIT COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKET


 Please send your completed application materials to auditions@apsmusic.org  no later than February 1, 2019. Finalists will be notified no later than March 16, 2019. Final auditions are March 30, 2019.

 

3. RECORDING SUBMISSIONS

Once your valid application is received, you will be emailed a link for a Dropbox folder to which you may submit your recording. The recording must contain between 20-25 minutes of music with varied repertoire displaying your versatility. Each movement or individual piece should be a separate sub-file and labeled clearly.

Acceptable file types are:     .aac   .m4a   .mp3   .oga   .wav

Files must preview as audio.

Repertoire selections must be unedited; however, long pauses, applause and/or lengthy musical introductions must be edited out. Files must not include identifying information, including personal introductions.

Files must be sent within 48 hours of notification. 

Tapes, CDs, and DVDs will not be accepted.
