President's Welcome
AUGUST 29, 2022
Welcome to the 2022-2023 season of Artist Presentation Society
This past June we celebrated our 75th anniversary year with an exceptional concert and beautiful reception. It was a fitting occasion to acknowledge the longevity and effectiveness of this organization. It confirmed that we can launch into our new season with enthusiasm and commitment to our mission - presenting the gifted musicians of tomorrow.
Despite recent challenges, our mission remains clear: Artist Presentation Society exists to identify, encourage, and promote exceptional young musicians in the Midwest. APS has been, and always will be committed to the complete inclusion of all races, genders, religions, and identities and will continue to promote talented and qualified musicians from all backgrounds.
Our 2023 competition was held in-person in March at the Steinway Gallery and our judges were, once again, impressed with the very high level of performance of all our finalists. We are proud to present our 2023 APS Scholarship winners.
Eugene Ryoo, saxophone
Jazmin Pascual, clarient
Jooae Cheon, piano
Each of our winners will be presented in recital during our season: https://apsmusic.org/season_thecalendar.html.
They will receive their monetary award ($3,000), winner’s certificate, and travel stipend ($200) at that time. The judges also awarded The Jane Allen / Betty Brighton Honorable Mention Award ($1,500) to pianist Yuefeng Liu.
Our concerts are presented FREE of charge thanks to the generous contributions of donors like you.
Artist Presentation Society (a 501C (3) nonprofit) relies solely on donations to fund what we do. Your donation will help to fulfill our goal. Please consider becoming a Supporter ($50-$99), Contributor ($100-249), Patron ($250-$499), Donor ($500-$999), Benefactor ($1000-$2499), or Sponsor ($2500 +). Any amount will be gratefully received!
We look forward to sharing beautiful music with you.
